Back To School Drive

HISTORY & VALUE

Our Back to School drive began in 2005.

The 5 year history has provided educational supplies to 2,556 local children with diverse needs.

 

Note worthy events for 2009:

• State of Indiana - Expanded our efforts to Indiana namely in Brookville at the Brookville Elementary school making the back to school project at Tri-State event.
• McDonald's (Kilroy Management) - Donated "Be Our Guest" cards which were directly given to the children.
• Humana - Received donation of backpacks from their headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky which the children received.
• Doscher's - Donated their famous French chew bars for the children.
• Perfetti Van Melle - Donated their wonderful Airhead candies which the children received.
• Community Press/Suburban Life Newspaper - Amanda Hopkins done a wonderful article and included a nice picture as well which landed on the front page of the August 2009 edition of the newspaper.
